Our Story

In 1982 - I (Larry) took the UBC Real Estate course & became a licensed Realtor in Abbotsford. It was a “Work & Learn” style of education. To “make it happen” I was working 7 days a week. My life was Real Estate – on call day and night. I was helping 30-40 buyers and sellers annually, but had no life. What to do? I wanted to be a great husband, a great dad and a great Realtor. Something had to change. The answer was…I had to change.

When the student is ready…the teacher appears.

In 1994, I was introduced to “By Referral Only Real Estate Marketing University” and a new mindset. Embracing a new business model, implementing systems & campaigns into every step of the buying and selling process, and learning how to provide each client with a “ Memorable World Class Real Estate Experience” was the start of our new business.

We divided up the business. Marlene became our team’s Buyer’s Specialist. After she worked for 17 years at Canada Trust in mortgages and lending - this was a great fit for the team. I am the Team's Marketing Consultant - marketing our listings and negotiating contracts. We hired an administrative assistant do deal with all the paper work, computer work etc. Together we started The Siebert Team Real Estate Experts.

Here is the "Shift" . Rather than spending 80-90% of the workday searching for new business, we devote 90% of our time/energy helping our clients (and thier friends / introductions & referrals) with their move - providing a refreshing World Class Real Estate Experience. For the last 24 years, 91+% of our business comes from clients introducing us to the people they care about.

Who We Are...

Marlene and Larry have been married since 1984 and have one son, Jared, who married Tianna in 2012. We now have 2 grand daughters Brynlee and Lexa. We enjoy biking, camping and motorcycling, hot rods/muscle cars, guitar and being a papa and nanna. 

We've been attending Northview Community Church since 1986 and have been involved with mentoring a young couples’ care group for 8 years / playing guitar worship teams, hosting pastorates & sharing our acreage for grad groups and other special occasions. We have invested time, energy and finances -on missions trips to Mexico and Guatemala, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Ireland, France & Portugal and have been drilling water wells in Africia for 18+ years.
